www.freebabarahmad.com . On 16 July 2005, while attending a public conference with his father, Babar Ahmad's wife confirmed to Clarion that the website is run "by us". She also confirmed that she was present when police assaulted her husband, having woken them both up in their home. These police had not been prosecuted but Ahmad was faced with extradition into the United States without due legal process. The name of the new Cambridge MP, David Howarth, appeared on related Early Day Motion 241 . In a public speech, Ahmad's wife said that the Home Secretary - on whose whim his fate depends - had just announced a two month delay in his decision, which was therefore expected in mid-September.
