The stone plaque is in the wall inside the entrance. Under four coats of arms is the text “TO COMMEMORATE THE FOUNDATION IN 1964 OF DARWIN COLLEGE BY GONVILLE AND CAIUS COLLEGE ST JOHN'S COLLEGE AND TRINITY COLLEGE IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE”.
